Andrea gave birth at the Hospital entrance!

Posted by Blue Heart Ventures Pte Ltd on

Andrea wanted a non epidural delivery, so like her first delivery, the plan was to stay home until Andrea was ready to push. Her husband drove the whole family to the hospital but ended up at the wrong wing of the hospital. Andrea was in no position to move, let alone walk over to the correct wing. Next thing she knew, she had given birth at the entrance of the hospital. Was Andrea’s third pregnancy as interesting as her second? We got to know how Andrea had an accidental home birth in this podcast!

Compared to the first labour, mummies during the second labour, usually dilate faster. Douala Fadilla explains that the thinnest or thickness of the cervix will determine how long it will take you to dilate. Cervix lining can be controlled with a proper healthy diet.

The common link Andrea and Janna had was that they could not be in the upright position as they are nearing labour, this is due to the fact that part of the pelvis, called the coccyx, bends backward making it painful to sit. This is completely normal. Douala Fadilla shared more tips about labour. Interested to find out more? Click here to  listen.
