Serynna was told that the reason for her Hemorrhage was Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC) which is a condition in which blood clots form throughout the body, blocking small blood vessels. When clotting factors and platelets are used up, bleeding may occur. This may include blood in the urine, blood in the stool or bleeding into the skin. However it was not confirmed. She found out the real reason for her Hemorrhage after her second birth. Doula Fadillah added that induction and the risk of a big baby may cause Hemorrhage as well. We talk to Serynna, mom of 2, on her birth experience. Serynna had Endometrial Cyst and had to go for a keyhole surgery, which made her menstruation cramps tolerable. Prior to that, it was so painful for her that she even fainted once. Serena maintained a very active lifestyle during pregnancy. She had low iron levels and took iron supplements from her 3rd trimester. Doula Fadilah asked Nishah, being a subsidised paitent, why she felt she was being treated differently. She felt that her emotions were not taken care of. The way they delivered the news about the down syndrome care was very clinical. There was no personal touch or empathy shown towards her. She felt that the medical professionals were very insensitive having asked her time and time again if she wanted to keep her baby. The questions continued till she was 9 months pregnant!
